San Francisco Road Trip!
My daughter-in-law M, is planning a road trip to San Francisco next month while A is on spring break at school. She phoned us a few weeks ago to ask if we'd come along.
She's done her homework researching where to go with three little ones, (ages 2, 4 and 7), but it's always good to hear about other people's favorite places and experiences.
We'll be driving up the California coast and we plan to visit:
Hearst Castle,
Santa Cruz,
Half Moon Bay & The Fitzgerald Marine Reserve and
The Winchester Mystery House.
In San Francisco we'll visit:
Alcatraz Island & Fisherman's Warf,
The Exploratorium and
the Cable Cars.
We want to include Gold Country with a Ghost Town. I once read about a train ride that goes to a ghost town with an old fashioned barbeque.
What do you think?
What are we missing?
Where would you go on this road trip?
Please comment with any suggestions and about your favorite places to see on this road trip.

I've been to San Fransisco and really enjoyed it. I did the Alcatraz at Night tour and it was spooky fun!
Don't forget Chinatown!

how fun! san fransisco has so much personality. I have been several times...I love to see plays when I go and also i have been to some of the amusement parks...like the marine world when I was young and loved it!
It's been so long since I've been there but it seems like you've got it all covered!
